De acuerdo al medio francés, el conjunto alemán estaría buscando un escalador más fuerte para competir por una de las tres grandes y como parte de la propuesta, le mantendrían la condición de líder que tiene ‘Superman’ en la escuadra kazaja.
Por otro lado, el diario Mundo Deportivo de España, indica que aún no se sabe si López ha aceptado la proposición del Bora, pero de hacerlo «encontraría más estabilidad» debido a las diferentes situaciones económicas que atraviesa cada equipo.
«Basta recordar que de nuevo esta temporada el equipo kazajo tuvo problemas para pagar a sus corredores, a los que rebajó un 30% su suelo a raíz de la crisis desatada por la crisis del coronavirus. Por su parte, Bora no sólo no rebajó el salario sus integrantes, sino que el equipo alemán garantizó el suelo a sus ciclistas tras el mantenimiento de confianza de sus principales patrocinadores, como Bora, que les da nombre», agrega el periódico español.
