En Cartagena, Colombia, se realizó el sorteo de la Copa América 2020, en el que se terminaron de armar los grupos y se definió el calendario.

En la noche de este martes se cumplió en Cartagena, Colombia, el sorteo de la Copa América 2020, con el que se definió el calendario del torneo más antiguo de selecciones del mundo.

Así Se Jugará La Primera Fecha

Grupo A

Argentina vs Chile – Junio 12 – Estadio: Monumental de Núñez

Paraguay- Bolivia – Junio 13

Australia – Uruguay – Junio 13 – Estadio: Mario Kempes

Grupo B

Colombia vs Ecuador – Junio 12 – Estadio: El Campín

Brasil vs Venezuela – Junio 14 – Estadio: Pascual Guerrero

Perú – Catar – Junio 14 – Estadio: Atanasio Girardot

El partido inaugural del torneo se disputará en el Monumental de Núñez, Buenos Aíres, entre Argentina y Chile mientras que la gran final de la competición se jugará en el estadio Metropolirano de Barranquilla.

10 selecciones de los miembros de la Conmebol participarán en la Copa, además, dos países invitados: Australia y Catar.

Por primera vez desde que corrió el primer balón de la competición americana, en 1916, la Copa América se disputará con sede doble: Colombia y Argentina. La Albiceleste inaugurará la competición el 12 de junio próximo y en suelo cafetero se culminará el experimento un mes más tarde, el 12 de julio.

A diferencia de antaño, cuando las selecciones se dividían en tres grupos de cuatro, esta vez la primera fase contará con dos hexagonales, en los que se enfrentarán todos contra todos: la Zona Norte y la Zona Sur, previamente definidas.

En el Norte estarán Brasil, Ecuador, Perú, Venezuela, y Colombia, que oficiará como líder de grupo. Y en el Sur formarán Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia y Argentina, cabeza del bombo. La debutante Australia y Catar, que repite tras participar en Brasil-2019, serán sorteados este martes.

Los cuatro mejores equipos de cada hexagonal pasarán a los cuartos de final, los vencedores a semifinales y luego a la final. Cada sede alojará una fase de grupos, dos partidos de cuartos y una semifinal.

En total se disputarán 38 encuentros, doce más que en las versiones anteriores. Será la cuarta Copa América en los últimos seis años. Y se hará con una diferencia de un año respecto a la última edición para igualarla con el calendario de la Eurocopa.
